Contacts

Leon County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, release a person, post bond, retrieve a government record, or decide which office has a particular file. Contact the relevant public agency directly for an official answer.

Where to Direct a Request

Begin with the record type and custody state. A city report, a Leon County Jail booking record, a court case, and a state or federal custody record may be held by different agencies. The contacts below identify the documented official starting points.

Use the Leon County Sheriff’s Office for a person-specific county custody question and to identify the custodian of a county booking record. The official page directs custody-status users to VINELink. No public sheriff records-unit email, jail-lobby hours, booking-desk line, public request form, fee schedule, roster URL, or photo policy was located. Call the main line to confirm the current submission method before sending a written request.

The District Clerk handles the district-court criminal record layer. Its public-information and copy request form lists $5 per name for a civil or criminal search, $1 per copy page, and $1 for certification. It asks requesters to allow at least 48 hours after payment. Those are court-record charges, not a published sheriff or jail fee for a booking photograph.

The County Clerk identifies misdemeanor criminal records from 1995 forward at public search stations. That is a court-record route, not proof of a current jail stay and not a county booking-photo service.

Use the channel that matches the person’s status:

  • For a Buffalo, Centerville, or Jewett incident report, contact the arresting police agency or city records custodian, then contact the sheriff separately if county booking is involved.
  • For current Leon County custody or release information, start with the sheriff and VINELink. A released person may no longer appear in a current-custody result.
  • For a later Leon County criminal case, court date, or disposition, use the District Clerk for district matters and the County Clerk for the documented misdemeanor-record route.
  • For an adult sentenced to Texas state prison or state jail, use the TDCJ Offender Search, which is separate from Leon County pretrial custody.
  • For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. It is not a Leon County booking-photo source.
  • For a genuinely relevant immigration-detention question, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. A case-specific federal hold or transfer must be confirmed by the responsible custodian.
